9 Pride Month Posters for K12 Schools

9 Pride Month Posters for K12 Schools

For Pride Month, we wanted to support schools that are celebrating with a power-packed kit of posters and other resources K-12 schools can use. The poster kit includes:

    • 4 Poster designs in 2 layouts and 2 formats (total of 9 posters)
    • 1 Zoom background for virtual celebrations
    • A BONUS set of 4 coloring pages, ideal for grades K-2

The poster designs feature affirming messages that speak to inclusion, acceptance, and positivity. They each include calls to action intended to encourage kindness and prompt students with ways to demonstrate these behaviors. We know that social-emotional learning (SEL) is very important in schools today and these posters are a great visual aid to support teachers with these topics, even after Pride Month is over.

Be Inclusive Pride Month Poster Rise Vision

Pride Month - Be Inclusive Poster

Pride Month is an opportunity to celebrate diversity and raise awareness of the contributions of people in the LGBTQIA+ community. Inclusivity is a common theme during this month and this poster design reminds students that everyone is welcome. The encircled hands in a “team huddle” is a great visual to support the call to action in this poster. Students can ask a classmate who they do not usually play with to join them during recess. In this way, all kids can feel a sense of belonging and of being welcome. Be sure to display this poster in your classroom or during virtual recess breaks if your class is learning online.

Another key theme of Pride Month is acceptance. This colorful poster invites students to celebrate differences, love one another, and use respectful language when talking about people. The image of heart-shaped hands reminds students to lead with their hearts and work together to create spaces of acceptance. This vertical version of this poster would be ideal to share on Instagram stories or even as a phone background during Pride Month (and after).

Pride Month - Be Thoughtful Poster

Encourage students to think before they speak using this poster. This is an important skill to develop and one that takes practice. This poster would be ideal for use on digital signage where it can be queued up to repeat during Pride Month and throughout the school year. Word and actions do matter and this call to action reminds students to consider the feelings of others before they say things that may be hurtful or harmful.

Pride Month - Be Positive Poster

Two thumbs up for kindness! Use this poster during Pride Month to help students focus on positivity and being kind. The many changes in our world over the past year have meant that many students and families are experiencing challenges they have never faced before. We could all use a little more kindness in our lives so the call to action in this poster is a great reminder to kids to be on the lookout for what’s good in each person they meet.

    Coloring Sheets

Bonus - Coloring Sheets for Kids

Special Bonus! For Pride Month, our design team created 4 coloring sheets that are ideal for younger students. They are all based on the positive and encouraging messages in the poster series which gives teachers an easy way to introduce SEL topics to younger students.

Print these coloring pages for students to work on in class, or share the pages online to have students color them digitally. If you aren’t already doing this at your school, digital signage is a great way to display student’s artwork and showcase it in your school.
