We’re looking for a web designer for a 4 month contract. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow their skills and work in a fast paced environment. You’ll work with our Creative Team, designing and building digital signage content for a range of businesses and organizations.
You’ll get to work on projects pushing what we do with digital signage and interactive content. You'll collaborate with designers, developers, product owners, project managers and our support team. We want you to take our tools and show us what the next level of digital signage looks like.
You’re that digital person that all your friends come to for technical help or advice. You can share your technical know how with others and you’re a natural communicator. You’re comfortable designing in Sketch (our tool of choice), Photoshop, or Illustrator. And you’re able to take that design and turn it into an interactive webpage with HTML5, CSS, JS and clean code. You’re proficient with Git and comfortable with Github.
Some added bonuses: you’ve worked on a Scrum team, are comfortable with continuous deployment and pull request reviews. And, when not working in the editor of your choice, you live in G-Suite, Trello, HipChat, and when it gets complicated Google Hangouts.
We are a small company, and a small team, so there will be times you’ll have to do work outside of designing and coding. Work that isn’t the most glamorous but we, as a team, buckle down and do it. The less glamorous work involves building content in our visual editor, writing documentation, creating quotes, and working with legacy technology. To be candid, if all you want to do is design and write code, this position may not be for you.
We’re a virtual company, so you will work with people from all over the world. You need to be comfortable with and motivated by remote work; you have the discipline to self start, self manage, and get one thing done at a time. But, for this position we would prefer if you live in the Toronto, Ontario area. That way we can onboard and train you face-to-face at our office downtown.
At this point you are probably wondering who are these people? Say no more:
