Managing Users

You can have as many Digital Signage Users as you want in your Company or client Companies, and adding them is pretty simple:

  1. In the menu bar, click the Users link.
  2. On the Users page, click the Add button.
  3. In the Username field, type the Google Account Email Address for this User. 
  4. In the First Name field, type the User’s first name.
  5. In the Last Name field, type the User’s last name.
  6. In the Telephone field, type the User’s telephone number.
  7. In the Email field, type the user’s email address. NOTE: This can be any email address. It does not have to be the Google Account Email Address used as the Username above.
  8. If the Status of a User is Active, that means they can log into this Company, where Inactive means they cannot log into this Company.
  9. In the Roles field, select the role(s) you want to assign to this User:
    • Editor: can create and edit Presentations, but cannot mark Presentations as “Published”
    • Publisher: can create and edit Presentations, Gadgets, and Schedules
    • Display: can add and edit Displays
    • Administrator: can manage Users and Company settings
    • System (Tier 1 & Tier 2 Network Operator Companies only): can change Sub Company status to Premium or Network Operator. You can read more about what the System role can do here.
  10. Check if you want to show the Tutorial video tour every time the User logs in. The User can choose to hide the tutorial forever when it starts, or you can just uncheck it here.
  11. Click the Save button.

Done! Your User has been added. Now if you want to change something on your User profile you can just click on your Username in the top right corner and you will go straight to your details. If you ever want to delete yourself, simply click on your username, hit the delete button, confirm you want to be deleted by entering DELETE, and you’re history.

Searching and Sorting Users

There are a number of ways you can search and arrange data on the Users page. You can search for a single character, which will retrieve all usernames that start with that character, or you can search where the term is found in the middle of the name; For example searching for “bob” will retrieve “Bob@gmail.com”. Searches are not case sensitive, and you can search by First Name, Last Name, Username, Email, or User Roles. Press Search or hit the Enter key on your keyboard to start the search, and pressing the “x” button will clear the search box. The list of Users is sortable by the up/down arrow next to each column header, and if you have more than 50 Users, scroll to the bottom of the page, and more Users will be displayed. By default, 50 results are displayed at a time, and older results are kept within the list when new ones are loaded.
