Alert
RDN enables authorized users to display alerts, or emergency messages that override content on all displays in the event of a crisis. Users may send alerts from their Internet-connected PC or from their mobile phone browser.
Appliance
A Windows-based computer, often called a media player, used to send content from the Rise Display Network to a display.
Auto-Update
The Rise Display Network includes, at no extra cost, automatic quarterly improvements and updates available to all Users. Since RDN is a hosted web service updates are available instantly, with no downloads or deployment assistance required.
Bulletin
Bulletin is an RDN online editor that allows Users to quickly create digital posters of text and images.
Live Data
Financial information, stock quotes, headline news, sports, and weather are all included in RDN for no extra cost, and can be incorporated into a presentation on any display on the network.
Monitoring
RDN includes continuous, 24/7 monitoring of all Appliances on the network, and notifies designated Users should any fail to respond.
Placeholder
A zone or region of a Presentation that shows a Play List on a display that is managed from Rise Display Network.
Play List
A sequential list of content that is created and managed by Users. The Play List may include Live Data, Bulletins, video, images, web pages, Flash, TV, or other user-generated content.
Presentation
User created and scheduled content with Live Data that is sent to displays via the Rise Display Network.
Rise Display Network (RDN)
A web-based content management solution for digital signage displays. Available for both video displays and LED tickers, RDN requires no software downloads, programming knowledge, or user training.
Rise Player
Rise Player is the RDN client application that enables an Appliance to send Presentations to the attached display or displays.
Users
Any person with a Rise Display Network login account. An RDN subscription includes an unlimited number of Users with varying permission levels, including those who can write or edit copy, those who can approve it, those who can post alerts, and other administrative roles.
