Today, we released an update to our platform editor, bringing much more clarity to Rise Vision’s editing capabilities.
Our Editor is now a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor, showing you exactly what you have planned for every part of your Presentation.
When you create a Placeholder with a single Image or Text Item, you can see them in the Placeholder once you save it. For Placeholders with Videos, the Placeholder will show the first frame of the video. For Placeholders with multiple Items, you will see the first Item in the Placeholder’s Playlist.
For example, let’s look at the Photo Gallery Presentation.

The background Placeholder contains the floor/wall/rope image. On the top left, you can see where a Placeholder contains text, like “Photo Gallery”.
Next, take a look at the Placeholder on the left with the image of William Shatner. That’s the first frame of a video (we put a video in there to illustrate the example).
In the Placeholder on the right, the Twitter List Gadget is the label on the Placeholder.
This new editing capability will help you save a lot of time as you’re now able to better visualize your layout before saving or previewing.
We’re really thrilled about this release, and look forward to your thoughts in our very active forum. As always, this update is released to the open source community on our project site.
