A big trend in digital signage is the “all-in-one” treatment, where the Presentation does more than just show a feed or give you a some tweets.

So we’re stepping forward with two awesome multi-page Presentations, the Campus Concierge, and it’s fraternal twin, the Central University:

The Campus Concierge

To see the Campus Concierge in action, and give it a spin, click here.

What really makes this Presentation shine is its capabilities. It features a series of pages that you can access through the tabs across the top.

Campus News

The Campus News page has three main Gadgets, an RSS feed (Latest News), the Twitter Gadget, and the brand spankin’ new Photo Album Gadget. All three make this page really dynamic, giving the viewer a great overall impression of the venue activity.

Events

This page uses the Events Gadget, and gives the user a snapshot of events and activities going on around the venue or area. The Events Gadget works off a Google Calendar, so it updates as quickly as you can enter information. To learn more about how the Events Gadget works, click here.

Club Info and Directory

The Club Info and Directory pages use the Directory Gadget, where you can list organizations, clubs, personnel, or any itemized information that you want to share with your audience. If you’re in a facility with several different offices, organizations, or people that have direct access, this is  great Gadget to use. To learn more how the Directory Gadget works, click here.

Building Map

This simple pages gives you the ability to drop a map in the Presentation. And it’s great with the Nearby Page.

Nearby

Using the nearby Gadget, you can see what’s in the vicinity or region, and learn more about points of interest. For organizations that work together (like State Parks, Colleges, and Libraries), this is a great way to show off your network outside your own venue. To learn more about how the Nearby Gadget works, click here.

The Central University Presentation

The Central University Presentation is very similar to the Campus Concierge Presentation with three differences:

No Timeout to a Home Screen

Above, the Campus Concierge times out to a home screen photo collage with a big button that says “Touch Screen to Start.” The Central University Presentation remains on the last page viewed by the user.

No Map

Because of the Nearby page, the Map may be redundant to your needs, so we decided to remove it for this version.

Page Access at the Bottom

This is important because it benefits interactive screens that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. It provides easier access to individuals who may not be able to reach the top of the screen.

With a little TLC, The Campus Concierge Presentation and Central University Presentation are terrific additions to your venue’s interactive digital signage network.

As always, this Presentation can be found on our  Open Source Project. If you have any comments or suggestions please don’t hesitate to jump into the Forum.
