Amazingly Cool Digital Signage Interactive from The Mill

From Aden Hepburn at Digital Buzz Blog, I found this video showing The Mill, one of the best post productions houses in the world, creating an interactive screen that highlights its library of media it has created for clients.

Just watching the beginning, you’ll recognize some of the snippets from things they have created. Knowing how good they are, they certainly spare no expense in creating this interactive screen.

Some things I found interesting about this:

A lot of physical infrastructure for a touch screen. The laser sights, the rear-projection. I’m a little overwhelmed at the amount of work needed to create this touchscreen. The transparency is certainly an interesting feature, but I have seen similar setups that didn’t require such extensive work.

The self promotion is interesting. The Mill, of all production houses, needs nothing more than its portfolio to sell itself. It appears they are now taking on display design and creation. Or maybe they were just bored and decided to make a big ‘ol video out of creating something…to promote themselves.

Regardless, combining technology with the production house that has created such visually stunning advertising, you’re bound to get a pretty cool interactive.

If you watch the video on YouTube in HD, it’s even better.
